Medical Transcriptionist - Junior

About the Role

We are looking for skilled Medical Transcriptionists to convert audio dictations from healthcare professionals into accurate written medical reports, clinical summaries, and patient letters.

Key Responsibilities

• Listen to recorded dictations from healthcare providers
• Transcribe medical audio files into high-quality written reports and documentation
• Verify medical terminology, drug names, and anatomical terms for precision
• Identify and flag formatting errors, inconsistencies, or unclear dictation
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and data confidentiality standards
• Work closely with editors and quality analysts to maintain quality standards

Requirements

• Requires transcription and typing experience
• Requires strong comprehension skills and medical terminology knowledge
• Candidates with medical scribe experience are also welcome
• Requires a bachelor's degree in science (e.g. B.Sc., Biotech, Nursing) or a relevant field
• Candidates must have strong written English skills (more so than conversational skills)
• Strong listening skills and familiarity with various medical accents
• Minimum typing speed of 60 WPM with high accuracy
