Medical Transcriptionist - Senior

About the Role

We are looking for experienced Senior Medical Transcriptionists to lead transcription workflows, mentor junior transcriptionists, and ensure the highest quality in converting audio dictations into accurate medical documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Listen to recorded dictations from healthcare providers across multiple specialties
• Transcribe and review medical audio files into high-quality written reports and documentation
• Mentor and train junior transcriptionists on quality standards and best practices
• Perform quality audits on transcribed documents and provide constructive feedback
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and data confidentiality standards
• Coordinate with editors, quality analysts, and operations leads to maintain turnaround times

Requirements

• Requires extensive transcription and typing experience
• Requires strong comprehension skills and advanced medical terminology knowledge
• Candidates with medical scribe or QA editing experience are highly valued
• Requires a bachelor's degree in science (e.g. B.Sc., Biotech, Nursing) or a relevant field
• Candidates must have strong written English skills (more so than conversational skills)
• Strong listening skills and familiarity with various medical accents and specialties
• Minimum typing speed of 70 WPM with exceptional accuracy
